week in review

i took a lot of pictures the past few days so for journaling's sake, i'll blog them. enjoy... or not!

a monumental photo.. we think olivia is over her habit of screaming her head off at the sight of any other people- including my dad! we had to document this moment for proof.

a little photo shoot with her new red christmas bow. turns out it's not the same red in her dress so we're switching to black. these things are important, right?

 

sitting up...almost! not really- she only lasts for like 8 seconds but she looks cute while it lasts! she's also learned how to pull her bow from her head to down around her neck where she can chew on it. so, lots of repositioning going on here.

first time at play group. not so much playing considering she sat in her seat the whole time but she did like being outside, i think.

our first christmas tree. this is our 4th christmas married yet our first tree....i guess that's what happens when you travel for the holidays. so we're glad to be "home" this year. 

last night my mom and dad watched olivia while we went to a christmas party and when we went to pick her up, my mom sent me upstairs to find this- so cute! apparently they fell asleep like this, which is only so funny because olivia normally does not fall for this type of snuggling. auntie andi did the trick, i guess!

so we/i probably should've blogged about these events separately but too late. here is a little medley of photos that show what we've been up to since thanksgiving. we made a quick trip to UT for thanksgiving so the wingets could meet baby olivia. she was a hit and we loved spending time with our old roomies! these pictures are in no particular or logical order. that's too hard.

ruby selected this outfit to go to kneaders for breakfast while we were in UT. what's wrong with patent church shoes, a silky cinderella nightgown and a hoodie for a morning out with the fam? she did wear it, in case you were wondering. 

lots of this going on at the wingets. every time i took olivia upstairs, i could hear ruby trailing me to come in and "check on her" or "give her presents," which were lots of mcdonalds toys she had been saving for olivia. she assured me that the ones that were reagan's would go unmissed and that olivia could take them home.

we've been having fun gearing up for christmas and have a busy weekend ahead so maybe some more organized blogging next week?? 

festival of trees

last night we went to the festival of trees "reindeer romp" at the orlando museum of art....it was pretty much organized chaos but it was fun to see all the pretty trees and be purely entertained by the kids in tow....

(note: strangers in this use means anyone but adam and i.. and the occasional random relative she will temporarily tolerate.)

2 new things for our little miss....drool and rice cereal. well, the drool has been going on for a while but lately it has just been buckets. she is usually soaked by noon. i do bibs sometimes, but what is the point of this cute little mock turtleneck, for example, with a cheesy bib covering it? the rice cereal....we tried it once for kicks and she seemed semi-amused. semi is not enough for me to continue at least until we get home from utah. i figure if she isn't dying over it (which she isn't), we can stand to leave it out of our daily schedule while on vacation. it is an entertaining milestone but definitely a messy addition to our life!

whenever i put olivia's boppy pillow around her waist, it gives her just enough support to sit up. it does look like she is only laying down, though, because of her little midget torso. tricky, tricky! she usually lasts about 5 minutes before she loses steam. here she is laughing at dad (above) and regaining some balance after she got a little too crazy (below). love her. 

shout hooray....

to katie because it's her birthday. apparently the only photos i have on this computer are of our maine trip and they are only of us with other people- none together. so instead, here is a birthday smile from olivia. she says she wants to meet you. hope you are having a good day and that cameron and your mom are spoiling you as you enter your 24th year. just had a flash memory of us panic speed shopping in the BR outlet in maine because we knew we only had moments before cameron and adam would come in the store to find us. lol. happy b-day.

happy halloween!

this year we hit up my mom and dad's trunk or treat. olivia only lasted in her costume for about 20 minutes. apparently she didn't like her feet being shoved in to a little torpedo at the bottom of the costume (no leg holes). go figure. regardless, we hurried to snap some photos to make halloween #1 as memorable as possible! here is our little chili pepper.

on actual halloween night, we went to my parents' house where my dad was making donuts for the trick or treaters. olivia did not make it in to her costume at all- how sad is that! she did sport her little cat onesie with some halloween socks so i think we were still in the halloween spirit. 

cousin coleman was enjoying some donuts as well. he had this look that said, "is someone going to come grab me and tell me no...?" mckinley and coleman were a cute cowboy/indian duo!
