olivia is learning that the red eye correction flash that goes off on our camera (that i can't seem to turn off) is very annoying and she usually turns her head and opens her eyes really big every time i try to take a picture....just like this. 

home again

we are sooooo glad to be home! as luxurious as a monday-friday hospital stay can be, we were done. my blogging will probably hit a low point now but just thought i'd post this pic....i've probably kissed that little face a million times.

hello again.

so when you spend what will end up being 4 nights in the hospital and you aren't doing much moving except to go to the bathroom, you have a few moments to blog! yes i know i have a new baby on my hands but she is still in the sleep 23.5 hours a day mode, so we have been pretty bored calling on friends and family to come visit us! here are a few more pics we've taken during our many hours of down time.......

well, the results are in. i'm getting induced tuesday the 15th at 4:45pm if nothing happens before then. until then i will look like this little person and probably be making the same face most of the time as well. wish me luck! 

Happy Birthday- a day late

a belated happy birthday to my sister allison. she was 20 yesterday, but i thought this picture of us was pretty classic. i think this was actually on halloween (an appropriate time to dress up), but i was definitely known to be found dressing her in "model clothes" so i could take pictures of her in our front yard.

ince we've been back in town, I've been lucky enough to have 3 baby showers for this little girl. Here are some pictures from the events, the last one being this past Saturday. Now I am officially in waiting mode. Pregnancy has been fine for me but the end is really THE end and I have been borderline miserable the past couple weeks. I feel stupid complaining since this is only my first baby but wow- time for this to be over! The Dr. says I am "making progress" so tomorrow should be a big day--my doctor's appointment! If nothing has changed we can "discuss" induction. To me that means get it on the books for the next day, but we'll see if that happens. Wish me luck!
