| olivia decided she would like to do some puzzles during violet's nap. so she did. please do not mind the alarming amount of stuff shoved under violet's crib. i haven't put their crib skirts on yet. i have some easy-to-access baskets of toys for violet under there, but they inevitably get dumped out on an hourly basis. |

| i really don't remember when olivia started doing this but i feel like it's too early?? she is very interested in all ways OUT of the crib. not sure how much longer i have before she tries one of them on her own. |

i went back and forth before we moved about whether or not to have them share a room. so far, it's actually great. they both like to play in there and i'm so glad we put carpet in there since everywhere else is wood. makes it a little easier to let violet play around on her own/experiment with crawling/sitting/climbing. this has only happened once so far and i guess it's just a note to self to shut the door completely when one of them is napping and the other isn't. right now it's the best of both worlds-- zonked out at the same time! wahoo!

My kids nap separately because of this exact problem. Also, I removed all the toys from the room to higher locations because nap time became play time/take everything out of all the drawers time. Glad to see it's not just me!
Everything about this makes me laugh! Olivia's "I don't care if you are sleeping attitude" and face, Violets mad scientist hair and her tongue sticking out hahah. So cute, but so craaazzzy!
Your girls are little dolls and I love all the photos of them. Hooray that you got a new camera!! Isn't it the best when they both nap at the same time? At least V is happy when she's woken from her beauty rest. I laughed so hard when you said it looks like Olivia has a wig on. She certainly DOES have a lot of hair on her little 2 year old head! If you want some advice on the potty training - keep up with it while she's into it. Seriously. There's a small window with these little ones. Praise her tons now and get onto the big girl undies while it's new and exciting...otherwise it may be awhile before she wants to do it again. It's amazing only having 1 in diapers. (buy the thicker gerber panties at target, they come in a 3 pack I think...that way when she has accidents, it absorbs it all and no mess for you on the floor!) xoxo
how fun! they will be best friends!! i can imagine that nap time would be difficult though!! are they on the same sleeping schedule at night?
