back from the (almost) dead

no, really. i am finally coming back to life today after being sicker than i've been in a long time. i had been feeling overly tired and just "under the weather" for like 2 weeks and then all the sudden on saturday night, literally in a period of 45 minutes, i went from feeling fine to being knocked out by some flu-ish type thing. we were supposed to bless violet on sunday and i had to call in a phone/text tree cancellation process at like 6am. that evolved in to the worst sore throat known to mankind that finally eased up yesterday after getting on an antibiotic pill on monday that was the size of a quarter. it probably killed every cell in my body but apparently that's what i needed. i still feel a little sick, but i'm much better. i didn't have the flu, according to the dr. i had a sinus infection + laryngitis + "a cough." whatever.

anywhooooo, the other reason i haven't really been blogging is because i temporarily lost my camera. it was one of the times, though, when you know you've seen it, you just don't have 10 minutes to set aside (or so it seems) to search through all the typical spots...aka the 5 different purses i'm living out of right now. i'm usually pretty good about fully switching over, but sometimes they get a little muddled and i inevitably dump all 5 purses in their entirety out on the bed to sort. trash. keep in chosen purse. totally out of place- move to proper home. it's kind of therapeutic. anyway, i found it and was sad to see how few pictures were on it. i am NOT doing a good job of documenting our life lately but here's a little sampling....

i realized the other day that these little jeweled flats of olivia's were almost too small. so, why not shove them on with some denim short shorts? nice look. 

big girl is alllways smiling and talking in a VERY high pitched squeal. mostly cute; sometimes annoying. :)

cousin mckinley go a new wagon for her b-day so they needed to check it out and break it in, of course.

and after. i still need to paint the legs but i'm going to put it in o & v's playroom in the house we're buying. knock on wood. we're under contract but not closed. i guess i'm kind of lame for shoving that big news into a photo comment, but it's all the same. we're very excited to say the least!!
